Turkey Meatballs


Turkey Meatballs
This one is a twist on Guinea Pig's mom's recipe.  We were looking to make it a little bit healthier by using turkey instead of beef.  Added some mushrooms for moistness and parsley for color and flavor.  Other than that, not much was changed.

Both Guinea Pig and I were pleasantly surprised by the outcome.  The 'balls were nice and moist and tasted great!  Next time we'll be chopping the mushrooms up finer and adding more parsley.

Stuffed Peppers

Stuffed Peppers
My grandmother has the best recipe for stuffed peppers!  So simple and they're even vegetarian.  All that's required is: pepper, onions, carrots, rice, seasoning, tomatoes, a little bit of olive oil, and some sour cream, which  is optional.

Chopped onions and shredded carrots get sauteed in olive oil, cooled, and seasoned.  Then rice gets added and the peppers get stuffed with the mixture. The peppers boil and pulverized tomatoes get added to the tops.  Take out pepper top with sour cream and enjoy!
